Ruben Abinadi McConkie, 83, retired certified public accountant, died in a local hospital Wednesday evening following a lingering illness.
He was born January 12, 1893 in Moab, Utah, the son of Charles William and Persia Viola Roberson McConkie. He lived in the Moab area and was employed by the Civil Service for 35 years. He also worked privately as a CPA. He came to Idaho Falls in 1974.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Edith Goodrich of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mrs. Zina McNeill of Fort Collins, Colorado, Mrs. Ethyl Goodrich of Tridell, Utah, and Mrs. E. Clark (Edna) Jones of Idaho Falls.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Thompson Funeral Home in Vernal, Utah. Interment will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery.
