Persia Ethel McConkie Goodrich, age 85, of Tridell died March 23, 1993 in a Roosevelt hospital.

Born July 14, 1907 in Moab to Charles William and Persia Viola Roherson McConkie. Married Forrest Odra Goodrich December 21, 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died February 17, 1984. Moved to Vernal in 1913. Active member of the LDS Church, loved handwork, crafts, sewing, music, traveling and children and grandchildren.Survived by five sons, one daughter, Reid H. and Joella Goodrich, Arco, Idaho; Charles Jack and Ellen Goodrich, Othello, Washington; Larry and LaWanna Goodrich, Roy; Bob and Sandra Goodrich, St. George; Ward E. and Delila Goodrich, Tridell; Tess G. and Boyd Lemon, Roosevelt; 48 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; brother, George W. McConkie, Vernal and sister, Edith Goodrich, Bountiful. She was preceded in death by one son and two daughters.

Funerals services Saturday at 12 noon in the Tridell LDS Church where friends may call prior to the service. Burial in the Tridell Cemetery. Directors: Hullinger-Olpin Mortuary, Roosevelt.

FORREST GOODRICHES' OPEN HOUSE DEC. 27

An open house will be held for Mr and Mrs Forrest Goodrich, Tridell on their Golden Wedding Anniversary December 27 at 7 p.m. in the Tridell Ward Building.

Mr. Goodrich was born in Naples, Utah, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Parley H. Goodrich. Mrs Goodrich was born in Moab, Utah and moved to Maeser, Utah when she was 6 years old.

They were married in the Salt Lake Temple December 21, 1927 They had 9 children, 6 of which they reared to adulthood. They have 38 living grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mr Goodrich served as Uintah County Commissioner for 2 terms. He filled a mission in the Central Atlantic States Mission where he officiated as president of the Statesville North Carolina Branch and labored six years in the Uintah Basin Indian Mission, serving part of that time as president. Mrs. Goodrich was his secretary. Later, Mr. Goodrich was called as President of the Ashley Stake Mission.

Together this couple served a mission in the Eastern States Mission where he was President of the Cattarougus Branch. Mrs Goodrich was Relief Society President in Tridell for 15 years and 10 years was MIA president.

Mr Goodrich has been a rancher and construction worker. He has also served as deputy sheriff in Uintah Couny.

Their OPEN HOUSE is being hosted by their children and grandchildren under the direction of daughter Mrs Boyd Lemon of Roosevelt The other children are Reid H., Mt. Pleasant; Charles Jack, Othello Wash; Lt. Larry, Yuma, Arizona and Bob and Ward of Tridell.

Ethel was the daughter of Persia Ethel Roberson and Charles William McConkie.

Ethel married Forrest Odra Goodrich on June 22, 1904 in Vernal, Utah.

To this union were born nine children. Forrest Goodrich and Dianne Goodrich died as infants. Edna Goodrich died young.
