A.Verna Sanderson, the daughter of Charles and Beulah (Gorin) Adams, was born at Marquette, Nebraska, on March 15, 1905, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 14, 1997.She grew up and attended school at Marquette and graduated from Marquette High School, she then attended York College. On Jan 9, 1925, she was united in marriage to Carl Sanderson, Sr., at Council Bluffs, Iowa. After their marriage they farmed near Marquette for 9 years, before moving to Grand Island. In 1945, they moved to Aurora, where she has since resided. Carl preceded her in death on June 28, 1992.Verna was a member of the E.U.B. Church, and later the Aurora United Methodist Church, and was active in the church circles. She was also a member of the Aurora V.F.W. Auxiliary, and enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant son Gerald, 6 brothers, and 1 sister. Funeral Services were held April 18, 1997 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Mamre Church Cemetery northeast of Marquette, Nebraska.
