Susie Borders was the daughter of William R. Borders and Rachel D. Harden Borders, and the granddaughter of William Henderson and Susan Doggett Borders---and Martin C. and Eliza Sapaugh Harden. She was born and raised in Millville, Tx.--Rusk Co. She married Martin "Gibbs" Hardin and they lived near Henderson, Tx. for years until they moved back to Gibbs family back in Blue Mountain, Miss. They never had children. Susie died from TB on May 30, 1932. Gibbs got TB and died Dec. 25, 1938. Gibbs brother, Edwin, also got TB and died Sept. 17, 1956. All three of them are buried in the Blue Mountain Cemetery along with at 11 to 12 Hardin relatives.
