Revolutionary War Veteran. A native of Lisbon, Connecticut, he served the United States as a soldier during the Revolutionary War. He served first in Capt. Charles Miel's company of General Waterbury's brigade, and afterwards with the army of Washington at Tarrytown.* He emigrated to Ohio and settled in Hamilton County west of Cincinnati near Sedamsville. He died near his residence when he was 86 years old. He was initially buried at the (Old) Congregational Cemetery on Warsaw Pike in Price Hill and was later removed to Spring Grove Cemetery on October 31, 1878.
His grandson was Hon. Asa S. Bushnell, Springsfield, Ohio, who was 40th Governor of Ohio.*
