BLUE MOUNTAIN – Pegge Benson Hopper, 77, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born on May 2, 1938, to Tom and Cecile Benson in Ripley. She retired from Blue Mountain College with 26 years on staff, several years as manager of the Book Store. She was an active member of Lowrey Memorial Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 2, 2015, in McBride Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Baker and Mr. Jack Moser officiating. Burial will follow in Tippah Memorial Garden.
Visitation will be today, Dec. 2, 2015, from 7 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hopper is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jimmy M. Hopper; one son, Bret Hopper, both of Blue Mountain; one brother, Bobby Benson (Carla); one sister-in-law, Pam Davis (Charles), both of Ripley; one brother-in-law, Pat Hopper (Ann) of Tiplersville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Carleen Colson; and one brother, John Thomas Benson.
Pallbearers will be her nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces.
