Professional Wrestler. Born Richard Thomas Gland, he attended chiropractic school before dropping out to become a wrestler. He started off as the Delaware Destroyer before becoming Bulldog Brower, a rabid heel whose brutal style made him jeered by the crowds. Brower initially worked for the likes of Stu Hart's Stampede Wrestling and for Frank Tunney in Toronto. He also wrestled predominantly in the United States, competing against world champions such as Bruno Sammartino and Buddy Rogers. Among other promotions he worked for include the National Wrestling Federation, World Championship Wrestling in Australia, and the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico.
