Kelley, Capt. W. O. (Peanut)

Died at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was 47, a resident of 6241 Willow Grove and a Baton Rouge native. He was a captain with the Baton Rouge City Police Department with 22 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Body at Rabenhorst Funeral home with visiting hours from 3 p.m. to midnight Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to midnight Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Joyce Olinde Kelley, Baton Rouge; his step-mother, Mrs. Barbara Kelley, Baton Rouge; two daughters, Mrs. Marcia Ann Miller and Miss Susan Elizabeth Kelley, both of Baton Rouge; four sons, Officer Dennis Ray Kelley, Baton Rouge City Police Department, Michael Wayne Kelley, U.S. Army, Colorado Springs, Colo., Patrick Shane Kelley and Randall Stephen Kelley, both of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. Jack R. Munson, Houston, Tex.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Jeni-Su Hebert, Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Nellie Gross, Zachary; one step-brother, Camille Aucoin, Marshall, Tex.; and two grandchildren, Tina Ann Kelley and Amy Lynn Miller. Preceded in death by a grandson, Dennis Ray Kelley, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the City Police Department. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Police, the Louisiana Peace Officers Association and the Municipal Order of Police Department of the state of Louisiana. He was a special officer for the city of Shreveport, an honorary deputy sheriff of Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office, a colonel on the staff of Gov. Edwin Edwards and a member of the Woodmen of the World.
