Thomas Lou Canaga was born on December 14, 1942, in Hidalgo, Texas. He was the son of Ross and Edna. He married Lorene Moore on January 28, 1970, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. They had six children in 13 years. He died on March 16, 2020, in Michigan at the age of 77. He was cremated and brought back to Overby Cemetery in Maynard, Ar and was placed with his parents and two daughters.
