After many years of teaching in various locations, she joined Pupil Appraisal of the Calcasieu Parish School, retiring from that position. Alice Pippin was a mainstay of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church where she was an active member until the time of her death. She lived a life of community service as well, and was serving a second term as regent of Calcasieu Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. She was hands-on in providing charitable services to area veterans.
