Bio
I have always loved cemeteries. As a child, I would take a flower to put in the hand of a statue of a child in our local cemetery.
I've climbed fences with my grandmother and mother on private property in search of family markers in the 1960s-1970s.
My master's thesis is entitled "Expressions of Grief in South Central Kentucky, 1870-1910" and includes a chapter about the cemeteries of Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Monroe, Simpson and Warren County, Kentucky. Lots of field research on cold winter days in the early 1980s contributed to that one.
I appreciate the efforts of my fellow volunteers!
