WALTER V. JACKSON, SR. "Walt" Gary, Indiana Walter was born February 25, 1944, in Mansfield, LA, to John Vernon and Jessie B. Jackson. Walter went to meet Jesus on Friday, October 28, 2005. He was a graduate of Froebel High School, class of 1963, and a master welder with Union Tank Car Corp. He accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church. Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Aleta V. Jackson, parents, John V. and Jessie B. Jackson, brother, John H. Jackson, and sister, Willie V. Hunter. He leaves to cherish his memories: 1 son, Walter V. Jackson, Jr.; 3 grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren and 26 step-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert L. (Dannie) Jackson; 2 sisters, Murry L. Owens, and Elois J. (Ralph) Garner; and a host of family and friends. Visitation Friday, November 4, 2005 from 12 to 7:00 p.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 W. 11th Ave. Funeral services Saturday, November 5, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest M.B.
