EDWARD THOMAS MILLS
AGE: 84 HILLSBOROUGH

Edward Thomas Mills, 84, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Foothill Acres Rehab & Nursing Center, Hillsborough. Born November 10, 1925, in Clyde Bank, Scotland, he was the son of Samuel and Mary Ann Mills. He came to the US with his family in 1929, settling in Harrison. He resided in Bridgewater from 1965 - 1990, then at the Veterans Facility in Lyons before moving into the nursing home in 1998. Mr. Mills was a US Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a Corpsman. He retired as a security guard for the General Aniline Film Corp., South Bound Brook. He had been a member of Giles - Biondi Post No. 63, American Legion, Bound Brook. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Mr. Mills was pre-deceased by his wife, Joan Coogan Mills, who died October 13, 1984, and his sons, Mark Anthony Mills who died in 1967, and Paul Martin Mills who died in 1977.

He is survived by his children, Edward T. Mills, Jr., of Bridgewater, Maureen P. Rouse of Hillsborough, Marilyn Beck of Yorktown, VA, Ann Marie Mathias of Broomfield, CO, Marianne Mills of Denver, CO; his brother, James Mills of Glen Ridge, and his beloved grandchildren, Jennifer, Eric, Ryan, Kayla, Erin, Shannon, and Ian.

The funeral will be 9:00 A.M. Monday, March 22, at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, followed by a 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook.

Interment will be at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. Sunday.
