A senior partner of J. & W. Seligman & Co., investment brokers, and a former vice chairman of the Tri-Continental Corporation, died here in his sleep.
When Mr Quinn was born, his father, Maurice Quinn, was 48 and his mother, Lucy Ann Kelley, was 35. He married Henrietta Dimond on 16 October 1923, in New York, United States.
In World War I, Mr. Quinn was a captain in the Army overseas. After the war, he spent several years with the American Relief Administration in Europe. Later he was with the International Chamber of Commerce.
He had been a director and member of the executive committees of Tri‐Continental, a publicly traded diversified investment company, and three of the Union Service group of mutual funds—the Broad Street Investing Corporation, the National Investors Corporation and Whitehall Fund, Inc. He was also a director of the Maytag Company.
