Note: Martha was only 13 when she died of the measles and her attached obituary has been abridged.


Her parents were Turner Gilliam Pierce (abt 1815 - 24 Nov 1858) and Martha Carolin Tomlinson (15 March 1825 - Unk). Her brother. John Pierce (1841 - 1888), is in the Greenwood Cemetery in Marshall.
