Robert Adams, Sr., 92, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at his home.

Once Robert graduated high school, he joined the U.S. Army where he served for around two and a half years before getting wounded and discharged. For his bravery and his service, he was awarded a Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, and Korean Service Medal w/ 3 Bronze Stars.

Robert has always had a heart of gold and would help anyone he came across that needed help. He loved people, and people loved him. He'd never met a stranger a day in his life. His positivity was contagious as he was always joking or laughing. In his free time, he enjoyed being on his boat on the river. Most of all, however, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert, Jr., Sheila, Bonnie, Joe, Sherry, Lola, and Debbie; and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonia Taylor and Carl Adams.Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, officiated by Ronnie Hatfield. Pallbearers include Robert Adams, Jr., Garion Adams, Matt Walls, and Bobby Crumbly. Interment will be in Old Friendship Church Cemetery in Finger, TN. Memorials may be made in Robert's honor to LeBonheur Children's Hospital.
