Bryce Darrell Nash, 11, of Mont Belvieu, Texas received his eternal wings on Thursday, December 10, 2020 after a tragic car accident in Mont Belvieu. Bryce was born on May 7, 2009 in Humble, Texas and was a beloved son to Shane and Saree Nash and cherished brother to Brock and Kyson Nash. Bryce attended Barbers Hill Middle School South, was a member of the 6th Grade Choir, most enjoyed P.E. and History, and eagerly awaited the day that he would step out on a football field and basketball court as a Barbers Hill Eagle.
Bryce lived passionately and put forth 110% in everything he did. His determination to be the best was exemplified in the classroom, on the basketball court, in his front yard, and, most notably, on the baseball field. Starting at the age of 4, and over the course of 8 seasons, Bryce developed a passion for baseball that was palpable by all those that watched him play the game. A natural-born athlete and competitor, Bryce dominated the infield as a shortstop and never failed to put on a show as he made his way around the bases - effortlessly stealing bases and challenging pitchers and defenders alike with his nail biting leadoffs and overzealous slides (and leaps) into home plate. More importantly though, Bryce's love of baseball offered him the opportunity to become a part of a baseball brotherhood whose bond will never be broken. Bryce and his baseball brothers battled together, winning a state championship at the age of 8 with his Xcel brothers, winning multiple district championships with his Barbers Hill LL brothers, and placing 2nd in the 2020 World Series with his Piranhas brothers.
Bryce was proceeded in death by his great grandparents, Robert "Geno" Nash and Doris Middaugh, grandfathers, Michael Middaugh and Darrell "Buddy" Call, and uncle, Jules Benoit. Visitation and a celebration of Bryce's life was held Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Second Baptist Church with interment following at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
