He passed away at the age of 81, and was a resident of Clarkston. He was the husband of the late Mary Alice, they were married for 46 years. He will be dearly missed by his children, Robert Kelley (Molly) and Matthew (Laura), and his grandchildren Riley, Connor, Duncan, Eleanor, Grant and Robert. Brother of Doris (Hank) Thompson, Colleen Maxine Flannery, and Patricia McDonnell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, where he was in the Military Police. He was a 1962 graduate of Michigan State University, where he belonged to the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. After college graduation he was an insurance agent, and in 1980 he started Robert A. Cook & Associates, which did financial consulting. He was active in SCAMP, the Rotary, and was a Spartan and basketball fan. He liked fishing and hunting.
