Helen Slaughter Walker, 100, of Roxboro, died Monday, May 27, 2019. Born in Person County, she was the daughter of the late Zadock Slaughter and Lonie Gentry Slaughter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Walker; son-in-law, Johnny Ray Mack; five brothers, Daniel, Howard "Haywood", Carlton, Enos and Robert Slaughter.

Mrs. Walker worked for Collins & Aikman and Walker Drapery for many years. She was a member of Allensville United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Marie Walker Mack of Roxboro.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Barbara Neathery, Shirley Martin and Cathy Lopez for their faithful love and care.

Funeral service will be 11 AM Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Allensville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lindsay Collins and the Rev. Jack Ruth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service in the Fellowship Hall.

Pallbearers will be Greg Slaughter, Kirk Slaughter, Ray Moore, Greg Foushee, Ray Perkins and Berry Gentry.

Memorials may be made to Allensville United Methodist Church, 80 Dirgie Mine Road, Roxboro, NC 27573.
