Thomas Vaiden Sluterbeck, born May 20, 1974 was taken from us on January 8, 2018 at the young age of 43. He is survived by his son Joey Strahan, Parents Tommy and Janice Sluterbeck, Grandmother Dorothy Broadway, Former wife Laura Skipworth Sluterbeck, sisters Sharon Snider and husband Jeff, Amber Grigsby and husband John and Amy Hart, Brothers Jason Lee, Lynn Lee and wife Ashley, Ryan Sluterbeck and wife Nicole and Craig Hart, Aunts Dana Pace and husband Ronnie, Dodi Beaumont, Mary Kay Wilson and husband Mickey, Cassie Hall and husband Bill and Holly Cipriani and husband Tim, Uncle Charles Christian, Nieces Brianna Harrison and husband Mark, Lizzie Lee, Alexis, Madison, Taylor, Emma and Aubrey, Nephews James Fuller, Bradley Fuller and Wyatt Lee and numerous cousins. Thomas was very close to some of his cousins including Amy, April, Cindy, Brad, Jennifer and Jessie. They were all raised together and were like siblings. He also had very close friends that he still kept in touch with for many years. He is preceded in death by his Mother Patricia Pitts Lee, Grandfathers Harvey Pitts and Berman Sluterbeck, Grandparents Charles and Mary Christian, Sister Melinda Burks and brother David Burks, Aunts Jan Blankenship and Syble Miller and Glenda Sanders. Thomas will be greatly missed by his Family and friends. He was a very witty person, intelligent beyond belief, a Philosopher, a computer/electronics expert, an amazing self taught singer, guitarist, artist and a lover of gaming and skateboarding. He spent his last day skateboarding. He made an impact with the local skaters at the new Skate Park in Lufkin, with his positive attitude about skateboarding and of course his skill he still had even all these years later. Memorial will be held at Melrose Community Center on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2 PM. Burial will be at Gravel Ridge Cemetery to follow.
