Brigida A. "Gita" Comiskey, a longtime resident of Troy, Michigan, died peacefully on December 8, 2016. She was 81 years old. Gita was born February 19, 1935 in Izmir, Turkey to Louise (nee Seybald) and Pierre Tarrabocchia.
Gita met Frederick Comiskey while he was in the service in Turkey and they married March 14, 1959. Rick and Gita began a life together that would span over 57 years. She spoke five languages and loved to cook but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
Gita is survived by her beloved husband, . . . and three children, . . . . She is also survived by her grandchildren, . . . , sister, . . . , sister-in-laws, . . . , and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Thursday, December 15th, 4-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, 4580 Adams Road, Troy, Friday, December 16th at 11am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 10:30am. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
