Mrs. Arettia Louise Bowling, age 89 of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away at The Bridge on Thursday, November 6, 2014. Mrs. Bowling was a member of North Rockwood Baptist Church. She was a loving Mother and caring Grandmother. Arettia loved to grow plants and flowers and was a “green thumb” when it came to getting them to grow. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence & Nora Shadden; husband, James Franklin Bowling; brothers, Charles Shadden, Lester Shadden, Franklin Shadden; sisters, Virgie Gimble & Ellen McElroy; daughters, Ella Bowling & Alice Faye Pope.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Evans Mortuary from 12:00-2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary at 2:00 PM with Bro. Bud Strader officiating. Graveside will follow the funeral service in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rockwood, Tennessee. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Arettia Louise Bowling.
