CONCORD, NC - Peter James Fiore, 46 a resident of Concord, NC, formerly of Millbrook and Oswego, NY, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center after a brief illness. Born on July 14, 1963 in Poughkeepsie, Peter was the son of Thomas C. Fiore and the late Mary Ellen Fiore. He graduated from Millbrook High School and attended Dutchess Community College and Marist College. Peter was employed for many years as a Sergeant in the Security Division of the New York Power Authority. He worked at the Indian Point 3 Power Plant in Buchannan, NY and at the Nine Mile 2 Power Plant in Oswego, NY. Peter was also a volunteer member of the Millbrook Fire Department for several years. Survivors include his beloved children; Victoria, Vanessa and Thomas "T.J." Fiore, of Malone, NY; his father, Thomas Fiore, of Millbrook; his brother Christopher Fiore, of Millbrook; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; his dear friend Diane Haynes, of Concord, NC; his former wife, Cristine Fiore, of Malone, NY. Peter also leaves many close friends who mourn his loss. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 10 am at St. Joseph's Church, North Ave., Millbrook. Burial will be in the St. Peter's Cemetery Poughkeepsie.
