EPPERSON, JAMES J., age 99, of Morristown died Sunday evening, May 6, 2007 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wylie and Nellie Purkey Epperson and sister, Mary Lou Epperson. James was a lifelong farmer in Hamblen County. He was a member of the former Holston Chapel Methodist Church and attended McBride Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ora Mae Quinton Epperson and several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and many friends who loved him. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday May 8, 2007 in the east chapel of Allen Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow 8 p.m., with the Rev. David Rutherford and the Rev. Ronnie Hayes officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in McBride Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Allen Funeral Home in Morristown.
