Obituary:
William Carroll Purkey, age 78, of Morristown passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.

He was a retired car salesman with the former Price Motors.

He is preceded in death by parents David and Ethel Lily Jones Purkey; brother David Arlie Purkey; sisters Mrs. C. H. (Stella) Bchannon, Mrs. Pangle (Eula) Burnett, and Mrs. Howard (Lena Mae) Lampkin.

He is survived by daughter, Shelia Carol Purkey from Sneedville; brother, Johnny J. Purkey, Morristown; and grandchildren Adrian Rain Moore and Allen Sunny Moore; several nieces and nephews; special friend and family Louise Burchfield.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 8 pm at Stetzer Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jeff Harvel and the Rev. Ralph Benfield officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until time of services. Graveside services will be Sunday, April 19, at 1 pm at Morelock Cemetery.
