A Time to Be Born...
Annette Leverett Lloyd was born to Josephine James Leverett and the late James Leverett on July 12, 1964.

A Time to Die...
Moving day came at 7:15AM on Saturday, March 30, 2013, when Annette, a three year breast cancer survivor, lost her fight with the dreaded disease. Annette packed her bags and went to God's house for His celebration. This 48-year old warrior, who was lucid and humble until the very end, has received her wings.

A Time for Every Purpose Under the Heaven...
Annette was baptized at an early age and was a dedicated member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Harlem, New York, where she attended Sunday School and was on the Usher Board. Annette was a cheerleader and graduate of Evander Childs High School, Bronx, NY. She matriculated to Sullivan County Community College where she majored in paralegal studies. She worked at NASDAD {proctor testing} in New York City and then Bank of America when she moved to Greensboro, North Carolina. While in Greensboro, Annette was diagnosed with breast cancer and became affiliated with Reach To Recovery and ALIGHT cancer support groups. She became a member of White Oak Missionary Baptist Church where Pastor Cory A Graves, is senior pastor.

She and her family moved to Columbia, South Carolina in January 2013, in order to be closer to family. She was grateful for the move that God led her to through her mother-in-law. When her health permitted, she loved visiting Saint Peter Baptist Church where the shepherd, Bishop Odell Sims, reached out his arms, opened his heart and made her feel special.

Annette loved to read, write, travel and learn…but most of all she loved God and her family. Her smile would light up any room and her sweet demeanor attracted friends in every setting in which she found herself. Annette was a peace maker and a true child of God.

A Time to Love...
Annette's first marriage was blessed with the birth of two children, Tashari Karimah Brown and Malik Rashard Brown. She was joined in marriage to Frankie Darryl Lloyd, Sr., on March 22, 2005. This union was blessed with the birth of one child, Kashawn Sharif Lloyd.

A Time of Memories...
Her father James Leverett, grandparents, Ruth and Alfred James, Grandpa Richard Gregory and Grammy Ethel Gregory preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish the precious memories of her life contributions are her husband, Frankie Daryl Lloyd, Sr.; one daughter, Tashari Karimah Brown of Bronx, NY; two sons, Malik Rashard Brown of Bronx, NY and Kashawn Sharif Lloyd of the home; four stepchildren: Frankie G. Davis, Dana D. Lloyd, Frankie D. Lloyd, Jr. and Joshua D. Lloyd; mother, Josephine James Leverett of Bronx, NY; two sisters, Eloise Yvette Carter of Bronx, NY and Letricia Leverett Williams of White Plains, NY; one brother, Donnell Denoriss Leverett of Bronx, NY; two grandchildren, Umair Lesley Brown, and Jyana Brown; nieces, Kaisha Carter, and Leah Williams; nephews: Cardell and Javon Williams and Kimmo Carter; an endearing mother-in-law, Verdell Simons Morris; special cousins: Barbara (Samuel) Weston, Jackie (Jimmy) Bryant, and Ruthie Flemming Stearns; special aunt, Irene Houston; goddaughters, Daishia Howard and Leah Williams; beloved friends: Anika Milner, Karens and Melissa Vogelsinger; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and dear friends
